Es Carnatge is a natural coastal area that is ideal for walking and connects Cala Estància to Cala Gamba. Classified as both a geological and a nature reserve and located right next to the sea, it is home to various small sandy coves. The walk boasts a range of vantage points overlooking the sea, the remains of ancient sandstone quarries and historical defensive structures, as well as a stunning view of the Bay of Palma. Wildlife is another striking feature of the walk; seabirds, various species of indigenous plant, banks of Neptune grass and rocks carved by the water and the saltpetre are all in evidence.
