Purobeach is a global chain of beach clubs with a number of beautiful seafront locations worldwide. The story originally began in Palma de Mallorca, from where the brand began to expand its operations, In 2017 they have beach clubs in Palma (2), Marbella, Barcelona and Portugal. The Puro Group also curates its own record label, Puro Music, producing a fantastic series of CD mix compilations, available to buy in physical format at the venues, as well as being for sale in digital format online, allowing guests to take home the sounds of the DJs and artists who perform at Purobeach events. The release of the summer CD mix series has become an eagerly awaited event each year, capturing the essential vibe of the season's best deep and soulful house music. The most recent series "Purobeach : The Global Adventure" is now in it's second season, and this year's mixes are surely the most exciting yet, showing the label's unmatched selection of quality deep house music, throughout the 2 CD continuous mix and the added bonus USB stick.
The first CD is mixed and compiled by Puro Sound Manager Sebas Ramis, a multi-talented DJ / producer who has worked in radio, festival production, and currently produces the Tutsi Girl Play House and Luv Machines projects, in addition to DJing regularly in the Puro's Palma locations. Throughout his one hour mix, the Mallorca native captures the essence of 2016's best soulful house sounds, from the afro-house vibes of Manoo and N'Dinga Gaba, to the modern deep sounds of Life On Planets and MAQman. it's a beautiful mix that takes us on a heartfelt Balearic journey into the sun-soaked feeling of Purobeach 2016. The 12 tracks are filled with the memorable vocals you'll be sure to hear echoing off the crystal clear waters all year long, bringing the listener to a moment of pure relaxation.
The second disc is mixed by two of the Purobeach Marbella resident DJs, Marcos Cruz and Kike Aguilar. It's a Poolside mix that succeeds in capturing the emotion of the setting sun, combining deep electronic rhythms with funky grooves and dancey house beats. Hailing from Sevilla, Cruz regularly tours as a DJ throughout Europe in addition to working as a record label A&R, and it's no wonder why his mix, in conjunction with weekly resident Kike Aguilar, is so fluid and mature in its song choice, which also include a couple of of Cruz's own tracks. In contrast to the first CD's airy and laid back feeling, the second mix takes a more serious tone, warming up the listener for a night of enjoyment, with excellent tracks like the Benjamin Fröhlich remix of Panthera Krause's "If" and the Dub-o-matic version of Aki Bergen's "Fever" featuring Carmen Sherry.
Perhaps the most exciting element of the Purobeach : The Global Advnture is the exclusive bonus USB stick, which includes a new 5 track mini-album from the new Tutsi Girl Play House band, produced by Sebas Ramis, which is not yet available for purchase anywhere else. The group also features German Keyboardist Sebastian Motz and superstar Ruandan songstress Tesiree Priti, with the trio having made their first appearance together in Puro Hotel's Habitacion 12 event this spring. Now that they've recorded their first release, which will be available on Puro Music this summer, the lucky fans of the Puro Music culture will be treated to this special addition, featuring the hit 'Body & Soul' as well as 4 other songs including 'Faith', and 'Cupid's Arrow', all packed into the USB drive.
