Discover the best spots to relax and sunbathe on the island!

If you are coming on holidays to the island this year, you might be wondering: which are the best beaches in Mallorca to enjoy this summer season? That’s normal. There are hundreds of beautiful coves and beaches in the Balearic Island, but if you’ve only got a few days to visit, you will want to be sure to visit the best ones right? That is what today’s post is all about! Keep your eyes peeled, because here go some of the best beaches in Mallorca to visit these summer months.

Cala Varques

Tranquil waters of a beautiful turquoise colour and a highly relaxed atmosphere. Cala Varques is one of the best and most beautiful secrets of the island. If you are looking for the best coves and beaches in Mallorca, you surely can’t miss this one. It is located very close to Calas de Mallorca, but you must walk about 15 minutes to get there.

Ses Illetes

Illetas Beach, or “Ses Illetes”, is one of the top beaches in Mallorca, not only because of its immense beauty but also because of the surrounding environment and the amazing beach clubs nearby. Here’s a little secret: if you go to Illetas, make sure you visit Purobeach Illetas beach club, you’re in for a treat! Plus, they have some of the most select music, Bali Beds and incredible sea views. What else could you ask for?

Illetas Beach, in the south-west coast of Palma, isn’t too big, but it does have a marvellous location just 10 or 15 minutes from the centre of the capital. It is a sandy beach of beautiful golden tones and has very calm, clean waters. If you are planning on staying in the beach all day long, we recommend going there early to get the best spot, but if not, remember there will always be a place for you at Purobeach.

Es Trenc

The incredible beach of Es Trenc isn’t located in Palma, but it is close enough to easily get there by car and is a must-visit in the island of Mallorca (you may also get there by public transport if preferred). It is a protected beach of over 3.5 km long. Imagine metres and metres of endless fine, white sand and turquoise-blue waters.

We recommend heading to this beautiful beach with enough time to get a good spot, especially during the summer season and the month of August since that’s when most visitors are around. The most original aspect of this beach is that you may find various old bunkers spread across the entire sandbank. Today, these bunkers have been revamped, painted in white and decorated with verses from a famous Majorcan’s poem, Miquel Costa i Llobera. They certainly are a fabulous backdrop for your top summer photos this year.

Cala Millor

The beautiful beach of Cala Millor, made up of pristine white sand, falls under the category of Blue Flag beach. It is undoubtedly one of the best beaches in Mallorca, especially when it comes to the eastern coast. It’s a beach of approximately 1.5 km, washed over by the Mediterranean Sea which, in this side, is quite calm, shallow and has a beautiful crystal-clear tone. Cala Millor beach can be a great option for those looking for a relaxing beach or those travelling with children. We must also highlight that, sometimes, this beach can be referred to as Cala Nau or Son Moro by local residents, so don’t get muddled up!
